Booster Dose Crucial to fave New Covid-19 Variant:- There is a new scare of coronavirus after the new variant of Omicron has been shattering China. All the nations of the globe are kept on high alert and the health officials have warned about a possible fourth wave of the coronavirus because of the variant BF.7 of Omicron. D Nageshwar Reddy, the Chairman of AIG Hospitals said that there is nothing much to get scared and things would be in control if the booster dose for the Covid-19 is taken. He said that the booster dose would be a great saviour for the new wave or the new variants that are emerging from various parts of the globe. "If the people have taken two doses from the same company, it is advisable to take the booster dose from a different company. The results would be better. If a person has taken two doses of Covaxin, it is advised to take Covishield for the booster dose" told Nageshwar Reddy.
"The duration between the second and the booster dose should be 90 days. There would be enough antibodies along with memory cells as per the reports and the studies. Even if the person gets attacked by the virus, the body would have enough immunity to beat the virus. There is nothing much to panic in India. There is no chance of such high deaths in India as in China. The vaccinations used in China are of less quality. Most of the population in China is not completely vaccinated. In India, more than 85 percent of the population is vaccinated completely. The BF.7 variant is traced in India in October but the impact is quite less. So, the situation in the country would be in control" told D Nageshwar Reddy.
