Hyderabad witnesses Heavy Rain:- Due to the heavy rainfall in and around Hyderabad, the directorate of enforcement vigilance and disaster management asked the public to stay indoors and requested to step out only if it’s very essential.
Sudden rains have lashed out the city. There were extremely heavy rains with lighting. LB Nagar, Uppal, Saroor Nagar, Amberpet and Khairatabad had heavy rainfall and the nearby districts of Hyderabad, Medchal, Sangareddy and Rangareddy were under red alert. Khajaguda in Gachbowli recorded the highest rainfall with 63.8mm rainfall.
There was intense rainfall in Vikarabad, Hanamkonda and Warangal also in the late evening on Sunday.
DRF team attended 59 complaints in the city after the rainfall. 25 roots were disturbed due to the trees and 19 routes were jammed due to the washed away of nalas. Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) also stepped out immediately and followed up with the issues. The public was asked to stay indoors and asked to come out only for necessary.
Many areas were flooded and there is a heavy traffic jam in the city. The city is going to have a cloudy sky and will have moderate rains in the next two days as well.
