Government Will Buy Damaged Paddy says KCR:- Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao promised Telangana families that the state government will buy every grain of the damaged paddy. Due to unexpected rains all over the state, paddy got wet, while in some areas of Telangana paddy got completely drenched in rainwater. KCR directed Agricultural Department to adopt Yasangi (Rabi) paddy harvesting and to take appropriate measures.
KCR also requested the farmers to postpone the harvest for 3-4 days due to heavy rains in the state. CM has organized a high-level meeting over rains and the damages caused to the state in Telangana's new secretariat building. Officials have explained how tough it is to procure the paddy due to the untimely rains.

KCR also directed Agricultural officers to educate farmers about Rabi paddy harvesting and to complete it every year by March end. He also asked to look into scientific measures to know the usage of fertilizers. Leaving this Telangana government has also introduced ‘Geetha Karmika Bima’, which is insurance for the Toddy tappers. In the new scheme for Toddy tappers, the kin will receive Rs 5 Lakhs with the death of the tapper for any reason.
