Loco Pilot of Coromandel Express passes away:- After Odisha triple train accident, many questions were raised about the loco pilot and the assistant pilot updates. A Loco pilot of Coromandel, who suffered a chest injury died at the hospital while undergoing treatment. Assistant Loco pilot survived with a leg injury and is currently undergoing treatment. However, officials didn't disclose the details of the pilots.
According to media reports, the drivers of the goods train and Shalimar Express pilots are safe. Luckily the pilot of the Goods train has gone for tea when the accident took place.
The restoration works of the track are underway. Nearly 1100 workers along with heavy types of machinery working to finish the restoration work by morning. So that the trains can be operated as usual.
On the flip side, Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw has announced that the Railway Board has recommended a CBI investigation. Railway officials suspect that a possible sabotage and tampering of the electronic interlocking system. He also said the persons responsible for the incident have been identified and also clears that there is nothing to do with Kavach.
The train was permitted to go at a speed of 130km/ph and Coromandel Express at the time of the incident was running at a speed of 128 km/Ph. The green signal for the loop line has taken 288 lives.
