Tension Prevails After Air India Lands US Travellers In Russia:- Hundreds of passengers were stuck in Russia after flight AI173 developed a technical issue and landed in Russia. Air India Flight No AI173 departed from Delhi to San Francisco on Tuesday with 216 passengers and with 16 crew members. Flight have developed a technical glitch in one of its engines. Immediately crew diverted the flight to the Siberian port town of Magadan, Russia. The flight landed safely with the corporation of the concerned authorities.
Tension prevailed among the passengers as Russia fueled war against Ukraine. Despite the safe landing, Air India has sparked criticism on Social Media for landing in Russia. Air Indian has accommodated passengers with alternative flight AI195 from Mumbai, which reached Madagan at around 6:30 AM today morning. There was much delay on the take-off of the Air India flight from Mumbai as there was a delay in giving air clearance permissions. The strangled passengers will now be carried to San Francisco in the same ferry AI195.
The crew tried to accommodate passengers in the rural area of Russia, where is no proper facility of food , bed and rest rooms. Angry passengers took Twitter and expressed their anger for poor accommodation and food facilities.

Air India wrote on social media that the ferry is carrying sufficient amounts of food to the passengers. They wrote, “An Air India team is on board the flight to provide any support that the passengers and staff at GDX may require. The ferry flight is carrying essentials in addition to a sufficient amount of food to cater to all passengers on the onward flight scheduled from GDX to San Francisco (SFO). The aircraft operating the ferry flight will take all passengers and crew onward to San Francisco on 08 June 2023.”
