A Major Train Mishap Missed In Nellore:- With the presence of mind of the train’s locomotive pilot, a major train mishap was averted in the Nellore district. After Balaspur's tragic train accident, train travel is worrying many. On Sunday a big mishap was missed with the alertness of the locomotive pilot, which will help public to regain the belief on train travel.
On Sunday, Narasapur- Dharmavaram Express (Train No 17427) escaped the biggest accident. A iron rail was placed on the track between Kavali and Bitragunta stations, which lead to train break failure. At around 1:20 AM on Sunday, a train collided with an iron rail piece, which resulted in a bad impact, locomotive pilot immediately halted the train and informed the Nellore railway station authorities.
Officials immediately rammed into the spot and started an investigation. Engineers staff and security control said that the issue was for coupling the brake pipe. They also found an iron rail near the tracks. As per the primary investigation, police are suspecting of a robbery attempt or looking for some conspiracy.
Railway Protection Force (RPF) and The Government Railway Police (GRP) of Nellore along with the help of the local police investigating the incident. Sniffer dogs were also deployed to help with the investigation. Because of this some of the passenger trains have seen a delay in their run time and overall Narasapur - Dharamavaram train has seen a delay of 30 minutes.
