New restrictions on New Year Celebrations in Hyderabad:- The highly anticipated arrival of the New Year is just around the corner, a widely celebrated occasion among people from all walks of life, particularly in bustling cities like Hyderabad. In anticipation of the upcoming festivities, Srinivas Reddy, the Commissioner of Police in Hyderabad, has recently issued a set of new directives.

To ensure a smooth and organized New Year celebration, all pubs and event organizers are required to obtain permission for their events at least 10 days in advance. Furthermore, any establishments serving alcohol must strictly enforce the policy of not allowing minors to enter under any circumstances. Additionally, it is mandatory for every pub and venue hosting celebratory events to have surveillance cameras installed.

Commissioner Reddy has explicitly stated that there should be no indecent or provocative performances, and the volume of the music should not exceed 45 decibels. Moreover, no additional passes should be issued beyond the venue's capacity. Prior arrangements for parking should be made, and adequate security personnel must be present at all venues. The police will also be closely monitoring the circulation of drugs to prevent any illicit activities.
