Galla Jayadev quits from Politics:- Galla Jayadev, the leader of the Telugu Desam parliamentary party and an industrialist, has made an announcement on Sunday stating that he will be leaving politics in order to prioritize his family and business. As a member of the Lok Sabha from Guntur, he has declared that he will not be participating in the upcoming elections in Andhra Pradesh. Jayadev has expressed his concerns about the scrutiny his businesses have faced as a result of his involvement in politics. He has also alleged that his phone calls are being monitored due to his outspokenness on various public issues.

In a farewell meeting held in Guntur on Sunday, Jayadev, who is known for his education and political achievements, revealed his decision to step away from politics. This choice was influenced by the challenging circumstances imposed upon him by the YSR Congress government in Andhra Pradesh and the BJP-led government at the center. Jayadev emphasized that it is difficult to sustain politically under such circumstances and that he cannot remain silent indefinitely in the face of oppression. He reassured his supporters that he will return with even greater determination, drawing inspiration from Lord Sri Ram's return after his exile in the forest. However, for the time being, he has decided to concentrate on his business prospects.

At a later time, Jayadev expressed his intention to reenter the political arena, without specifying when exactly. He emphasized his commitment to contributing to India's economic growth through his business group, which he plans to expand, resulting in a significant increase in direct employment to approximately 25,000 individuals. Jayadev disclosed that he had been subjected to two investigations by the Enforcement Directorate following his inquiries about meeting the needs of Andhra Pradesh. He suspected that these actions were in response to his presentation of a no-confidence motion in parliament. Furthermore, he believed that both the Enforcement Directorate and the Central Bureau of Investigation were monitoring his phone conversations.

When asked directly, Jayadev acknowledged his plans to resume his political career in due course. He cited "political limitations" as the reason for his inability to criticize the central government and "business limitations" as the reason for refraining from criticizing the state government. Given his inability to maintain a prolonged silence, he made the decision to distance himself from politics. Additionally, Jayadev highlighted the increased responsibilities he assumed in managing his businesses since his father, Galla Ramachandra Naidu, retired as chairman of the Amara Raja Group approximately two years ago.
