Praveen Kumar joins BRS in the presence of KCR:- In a gathering at K Chandrasekhar Rao's Erravalli farmhouse, RS Praveen Kumar, former BSP state president, enthusiastically joined the BRS, alongside some former party colleagues. Expressing his joy, Praveen mentioned that being a part of the BRS allows him to work under KCR's leadership. He emphasized that the aspirations of Telangana align with those of the Bahujans, and he believes that their ideologies will blend naturally, much like the merging of Godavari-Pranahita and Krishna-Tungabhadra rivers. Praveen also disclosed that he left the BSP because he disliked the pressure exerted on him by BSP chief Mayawati to end the alliance with the BRS.
Speaking highly of KCR as a leader cherished by the people of Telangana, Praveen addressed the criticism he faced for joining the BRS. He clarified that he was not motivated by personal gain or packages, as joining the Congress would have fulfilled that purpose. Instead, he joined the BRS without any expectations. Praveen shared that CM A Revanth Reddy had warned him gently against joining the BRS and even offered him the TSPSC chairman's position, which he declined.

If I were to join the BRS, I would be held accountable to the public, but I still have the freedom to make political decisions. Like Revanth, I also come from the former Mahbubnagar district. The CM should avoid making such warnings," he expressed. In the meantime, KCR declared that he will soon appoint Praveen as a general secretary of the BRS. The previous CM also dismissed the claims made by certain groups that his party's defeat in the Assembly elections was due to the impact of the Dalit Bandhu scheme. "Many individuals are suggesting that the Dalit Bandhu had an effect on the BRS's election prospects. This is not true. Numerous people have benefited from this program," he stated.
