LS Polls: Revanth Reddy confident of winning 14 seats:- The Congress party, led by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and TPCC chief, is resolute in its goal of securing victory in 14 out of the 17 Lok Sabha seats in the state. During a meeting with Congress leaders and cadre from the Chevella Lok Sabha constituency, Revanth Reddy criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi for neglecting Telangana. He emphasized that the upcoming elections would serve as a referendum on the Congress government's performance over the past 100 days. Revanth Reddy questioned how BJP leaders could ask for votes in Telangana when they had neglected the state for a decade.
Revanth Reddy proceeded to highlight various instances where Modi had allegedly failed to support Telangana. For instance, he claimed that Modi did not grant national status to the Palamuru-Rangareddy project or ensure its completion. Additionally, he accused Modi of not extending the MMTS train up to Vikarabad, despite being able to initiate the bullet train project in Gujarat. Revanth Reddy also criticized Modi for not providing funds for the Musi riverfront development project, contrasting this with the development of the Sabarmati riverfront in Gujarat, which received financial assistance. Despite Revanth Reddy's request, Modi did not respond positively to extending central financial assistance to the Musi development project.
