Honda crosses 1 lakh diesel cars sales

Japan's automaker Honda has so far sold one lakh diesel cars in India which is a major milestone for the global brand which is best known for quality and safety.  Honda has been low and was criticised for sticking to Petrol version of engines only but in the year 2013, it broke the tradition by introducing diesel engine car in the form of sedan 'Amaze.'

Amaze car was a super hit and later Honda started developing diesel engines keeping the India buyers in mind. Honda also launched the 4th generation City in diesel and its latest MPV Mobilio too. Honda's 1.5 litre i-DTEC engine has greater cooling efficiency and fuel figures are absolutely stunning.

Honda has quite a few products in the pipeline. Jazz, the premium hatchback with diesel engine will arrive next year which is likely to give tough competition for Maruthi Suzuki Swift and Hyundai's i20.
