At the age when lot of mothers are trying to depend on milk powders and buffalo's milk for their babies, a woman-who gave birth to one baby-not only gave milk to her baby but also donated her breast milk to charity. Sounds great isn't it? True...And that's the reason why she entered the Guinness Book of World Records. Twenty-eight-year-old mother of one has donated 694 pounds of breast milk to a charity, which collects mother's milk for babies, who are critically ill.
If we look into more details, Alicia Richman Granbury, who hails from Texas, gave birth to a baby boy in March 2011. She then started storing her breast milk in bottles for her son and noticed that she was producing more milk than her son required. When two freezers were filled with her pumped milk, she rang up Mothers' Milk Bank of North Texas and donated her milk.
Hailing Alicia, the executive director of the milk bank Amy has said that Alicia's donations fed hundreds of premature babies across the United States of America.
