Milking, which is hardly related to the real meaning of the word, is now an internet sensation. The internet urban term describes it as emptying cans of milk over ones head. I tried looking at the same from several perspectives and I don't find why this internet craze has even gained popularity. The sole explanation that I can come up with is that people were merely interested in knowing what the new kind of prank is and shared with their friends pondering on the point of interest in this compilation of milking.

My explanation aside, the new craze has drawn the ire of Austrian farmers who termed the senselessness as a wanton wastage and a crying shame. Launching their own anti-milking campaign, which they called the true milking campaign, they have excoriated the ones who have supported or performed it while urging them to drink the same instead of spilling it all over the place.

"At a time when too much food already lands in the trash, it is worth questioning dumping milk. This is a valuable product of nature that our farmers provide daily with lots of love and labour," Times of India quited AMA milk marketing manager Peter Hamedinger as saying.

Earlier several similar internet sensations have occurred like Planking, photobombing, videobombing or owling. Well, at least they had some funny factor to them to be a sensation.
