To beat the heat, Delhi driver grows a garden on his Auto:- Yellow and green autorickshaws are quite commonly seen on the roads of the national capital New Delhi. An auto driver named Mahendra Kumar has kept a garden on the roof off his auto to beat the heat in this summer. He managed it to keep his passengers cool during the summer season. He said that the thick patch of green will put the vehicle cool as the temperatures are touching 45 degrees celsius. The 48-year-old has grown over 20 varieties of shrubs, flowers and other crops. All the passers going through kept clicking selfies and photos with the auto which was named as moving garden.

Mahendra Kumar said that he got the idea two years ago and this plan worked out. He also installed two mini coolers and fans inside the auto. Mahendra Kumar said that his passengers are very happy for the ride and some of them have been paying Rs 10-20 extra. Delhi is one of the hottest cities of the country and the temperatures are soaring this year. The temperatures have been crossing 45 degrees in New Delhi and some of them witnessed higher temperatures. More than 6500 people have passed away in the country since 2010. Mahendra Kumar said that he was doing his bit for the environment by planting trees.
