Hyundai Tucson SUV to launch on November 14

Hyundai has been on a roll with its sudden exploration into the SUVs segment from the hatchbacks segment. The Hyundai launched the Creta last year, which has now become one of the best selling SUVs in India.

So, Hyundai now wants to capitalize on the SUV segment by further launching the Hyundai Tucson. The new generation Hyundai Tucson SUV will be the third generation model of the brand, which also made its debut for a short time in the year 2005.

The new generation Hyundai in its India-spec version will be powered by a 2.0-litre diesel motor delivering 136 hp of power and 373 Nm of torque. Transmission duties will be handled by a 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic as options. The petrol-powered model could come powered by a 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol motor.

The interiors will get a new voguish touchscreen infotainment system with Bluetooth, USB and AUX-in Connectivity. It will also get multimedia features and equipment in the top of the line variants as steering-mounted audio and telephony controls, etc. While electrically-adjustable seats will offer maximum comfort, the compact SUV will also likely rate high in safety tests with its six airbags.

Await the launch of the new third generation Hyundai Tucson on November 14, 2016. The SUV could come priced between Rs. 17 and 23 lakhs, while it will not have much of a rival, except for the Honda CR-V. The latter is not a diesel engine model either. So, the Volkswagen Tiguan, only upon launch next year, will likely become a clear segment rival to the Hyundai Tucson.
