Tata Motors bags a massive order for XPRES-T EV:- Tata Motors received an order for 10,000 units of XPRES-T EV from the cab service BluSmart. It is a taxi version of Tigor EV that was introduced in 2021. The agreement was signed in 2022 on the occasion of World Environment Day. Tata Motors revealed that this is the biggest EV deal in the country. BluSmart also ordered 3500 XPRES-T EVs last year in October. Shailesh Chandra, Managing Director, Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd signed an agreement with the Tata Passenger Electric Mobility.
The official statement of BluSmart said "We are delighted to continue our association with BluSmart Electric Mobility as we deploy 10,000 XPRES-T EVs across the country. Our XPRES-T EV fleet offers an optimal battery size along with a captive fast charging solution and has already set benchmarks in its category. Tata Motors is constantly working towards educating and enhancing the adoption of electric mobility in India and we hope that more people join us in this journey as we mobilize the nation to #EvolveToElectric".
The deal is apart of BluSmart's Expansion plan and they will be used in Delhi and other metros. BluSmart operates in Gurugram and Delhi for now and the company has plans to expand them to other cities. BluSmart recently raised a funding of 50 million USD. Anmol Singh Jaggi, CoFounder, BluSmart Electric Mobility told that they are supercharged to expand their operations across all the cities. BluSmart Electric Mobility has covered 50 million clean km and delivered 1.6 million zero-emissions rides.
