The Andhra Pradesh Government has nodded for setting up 25 major industries with an estimated cost of 40 thousand and 400 crore rupees this year. This is one of the biggest projects by Kiran Kumar Reddy's government. Putting an end to the complaints that major industries are being set up only in Hyderabad and Rangareddy districts, minister Geeta Reddy has said that steps are being taken for setting up the upcoming industries in 12 districts.
Elucidating the reporters on the types of industries, Geeta Reddy has said that there are 13 cement, six chemical, one each in plastic, steel and others are going to be set up. Also, she said out of 44 projects approved last year, 14 industried came into existence so far.
