Our people are simply speculating about the black money that has gone out of the country and using it for their political gains.

But an USA based Global Financial Integrity study says that about $343 billion (equivalent to Rs.21 lakh crore) unaccounted money has gone from India and it places India in the list of fifty largest black money exporters during the decade 2002-2011.  The study also says that $84.93 billion (Rs.5 lakh crore) accounts for the year 2011.

The GFI also says that the growth of illicit flows of black money is an extremely troubling matter.  The outflows from the developing countries are increasing by 10.2% every year.

These monies are the result of crime, corruption and tax evasion.  Now it can be taken serious as it is not a statement of a politician and efforts can be made to get back the black money to India.
