Its raining of new model cars in the Delhi ahead of the Auto Expo show 2014. Tata motors which was first to unveil its compact sedan model ZEST and to add, Tata has impressed. Zest is sub four meter compact sedan developed based on Indigo Manza platform but it offers more than Manza. The latest 1.2 L Revotron turbocharged petrol engine is Zest powered by. All the design, exterior and interior are maintained above expected level. However, only in the Auto Expo show the complete details of Zest will be out.
Ford Figo Concept
American automobile Ford has also introduced its sedan concept car Ford Figo yesterday and this merely looks like the sedan style of its Ecosport. The team that developed Ecosport also developed Fogi concept and it is really the best design to say. Fogi concept sedan will come up with a 1-litre Ecoboost petrol engine and the same 1.5 litre diesel powerplant that Fiesta uses. Details at Auto Expo show 2014.
Hyundai Xcent
This is most talked car so far and it is Hyundai's big launch in the Auto Expo show. The Xcent is the compact sedan model developed on the lingo Grand i10. Like how Honda's Brio is extended for Amaze, Xcent was originated from Grand i10 as such. The Xcent sedan will have the 1.1-litre diesel and 1.2-litre petrol engines from the Grand i10.
The compact SUV segment is yet to be unveiled and sources say that Fiat, Chevrolet and Volkswagen are in the race to launch their compact SUV cars in the Auto Expo.
