WalMart India on Tuesday launched its online wholesale portal services in Hyderabad and Lucknow cities. After the launch the company released a statement which said this e-commerce platform will offer wide range of products with the same price as its wholesale stores.
The company's India president and CEO Krish Iyer said, “This initiative is aimed at enhancing our members’ shopping experience by integrating physical and digital store presence.”
Currently WalMart is engaged in cash and carry business in India and soon will explore the alternate methods of payment.
In October 2013, WalMart India has called off its six years agreement with Bharti Enterprises and decided to function the stores independently. This is WalMart's first move post, cancellation of the deal.
The registered members can operate from www.bestpricewholesale.co.in platform.
