E-Commerce platform Flipkart founders Sachin Bansal and Binny Bansal are now inching close towards becoming as rich as Infosys co-founders Narayana Murthy and friends. The duo Bansals hold 15 percent of stake worth USD 1 Billion which is approximately Rs 6,000 crores while the four member, India's second IT giant have stake along with their respective families.
Murthy family has a net worth of around Rs 8,700 crore while the Nilekani family's net worth stands at Rs 6,500 crore. Outing going CEO S D Shibulal and his family hold shares worth Rs 4,300 crore and other co-founder Kris Gopalakrishnan's family has a net worth of around Rs 6,500 crore. This means, the duo Bansal have net worth higher than the Infosys founders.
Flipkart was launched in 2007 and its valuation is USD 7 Billion whereas Infosys stands at USD 30 Billion which has been established around four decades ago. Flipkart sales grew from USD 10 million to USD 2 billion from 2011 to 2014 with over 100 times growth in just three years and now the co-founders are talking about creating USD 100 Billion e-commerce company.
