Travel in SpiceJet @ Rs 599

Low cost airlines, SpiceJet has launched its fourth continuous discount, offering with fares starting from Rs 599 for domestic flights and Rs 3,499 for the International flights. SpiceJet has offered 4,00,000 seats for this discount sale and 1,00,000 seats are being allocated to Rs 599 offer. The offer is available for booking during 11-13 February and for travel from 1 July to 24 October. However, minutes this offer was launched, the portal of SpiceJet crashed with heavy flow of traffic.

Hit by financial crisis, SpiceJet is in the verge of owning by its co-founder Ajay Singh. Last year the DGCA has barred SpiceJet from advance booking and after the change in owners was announced, DGCA lifted the ban of booking. Since then SpiceJet is coming up discount offers to attract the customer as much as it can.

“At SpiceJet we believe that flying empty seats, which are the ultimate perishable commodity, is a crime,” said chief operating officer Sanjiv Kapoor said in the press release. Looks like SpiceJet has made its mind to offer very low fares rather than flying empty. These fares are cheaper than train fares claimed the press release.
