According to the state, rankings released by the government on Monday, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana became the toppers in doing business. Gujarat lost its slot and came to the third position.

The states were ranked on 340 parameters out of which Telangana and Andhra ended as the closely competing with each other with a score of 98.78 percent.

Chattisgarh got the fourth position followed by Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Jharkhand, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, and Maharashtra.

If industrial policy and promotion came along with the World Bank, all these states were classified as leaders in the rankings by the department.

Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal and Bihar were listed as "aspiring leaders". Himachal, Tamil Nadu, and Delhi were identified as states who has to speed up.
