Well it is all over for Congress senior most leaders who are aiming to fill the shoes of current Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh in coming General Elections. Congress's vice president Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday said he is ready to take up any responsibility given by the party and confirming that he is ready for Prime Ministerial post.
Congress party has decided to host an AICC meeting on January 17th to decide on candidates for the PM post and also to lead the party in 2014 elections. With days before the meeting Rahul's statement has not at all surprised the Congressmen and oppositions. Infact many leaders within Congress have supported Rahul's credentials for PM post.
But for PM post, political experience is a must and of-course we can't deny that Rajiv Gandhi and Indira Gandhi crowned the top chair without any experience and handled quite well. However, present scenario is completely different and the Congress led UPA government is under severe criticism with inflation, scams and many more issues.
Will Rahul bring all the past glory? The answer is a clear “NO” as he completely failed in bringing its party into power in recent elections held in five states and astonishingly, Congress finished with disaster figures and seats.
BJP's Narendra Modi mantra is working all over and he is drawing huge crowd everywhere he is going. To tackle Modi would be tough task for Rahul as the development factor of Gujarat is waving the entire nation and people are looking for forward for the elections. Modi is aggressively campaigning for BJP in all ways and possibilities and Rahul needs to catch the pace of Modi from the day he has been chosen as Congress's Prime Ministerial candidate.
So all in all it is going to be big job in the hands of Rahul Gandhi (may be the future Prime Minister of India).
