Telangana Rashtra Samithi known for provoking people in the name of sentiment and with it, the party went into the people. As Telangana was achieved, TRS is looking for establishing the first government in the separate state with denying merger with Congress party which its chief K Chandrasekhar Rao earlier promised.
Through the fight for separate state in the last decade or so, Congress maintained a strategic silence when TRS party was accused of amassing huge wealth illegally. Only Telugu Desam Party [TDP] and its leaders have continuously reported that TRS has collected massive money in the name of agitation from various Andhra region business tycoons. However, TDP wasn't successful in taking the allegations to the public.
After the approval of Telangana bill in Parliament and TRS not accepting for merge things have change between Congress and TRS. The Telangana Congress leaders have targeted TRS chief as of the election notification was announced and also survey reports claimed that TRS might win the elections too. Nonetheless, before KCR, a professor in politics they could not stand and so they tactically attacked him. Then came the discussion of KCR assets and TRS party collecting money in the name of funds.
Well it was Pawan Kalyan who raked up this issue in his first ever speech during the launch of Jana Sena party. Pawan accused Telangana Jagruthi leader Kavitha [D/o KCR] of collecting money in the name of funds however, he asked of details of every Rupee that was spent in Telangana agitation. Followed by allotment of tickets to candidates became controversial. TRS politburo member Dasoku Sravan quit the party for not getting ticket and attack TRS of selling tickets to real estate businessmens and other wealthy people. Congress has appointed Sravan as TPCC spokesperson and he has been restlessly doing his job of attacking TRS.
Telangana PCC Chief Ponnala Lakshmaiah few days back stated that allegations against TRS and its chief of selling tickets may need probe. He also warned that Congress will order a probe on his assets if voted into power. There was an immediate reply for the honcho of TRS and said he is very much read y for any sort of probe. In Nizamabad and various public meeting across Telangana, KCR said, “I'm ready for the investigation against my assets.” KCR went ahead and alleged that Ponnala is a land grabber and illegally occupied the lands of Dalits.
A Hyderabad Lawyer named Balaji Vadera from nowhere suddenly filed a special petition in the CBI special court for a probe on KCR, Harish Rao and Vijayshanti assets. No one knows whether this lawyer is anyway related to Congress party or not but probe on KCR assets became the headlines of discussion. Harish Rao and KCR's daughter Kavitha said they welcome the decision of CBI special court and are ready for any kind of probe. However, YSRCP chief Jagan too exhibited same sort of confidence when Congress leader Shankar Rao approached the court on his illegal wealth. Now TRS party is acting in similar manner by being strong outside and little worried inside.
CBI investigation will have good chance for both parties. If TRS proves its innocence, it will be a huge advantage for the party in Telangana region and might become a super power. But if the allegations are proved, TRS would face situation of YSRCP and its leader Jagan's position where people will be in dilemma to trust or not.
