Based on a complaint from an advocate, the Pahadisherif police Friday registered a case against the Congress MP, Lagadapati Rajagopal, for insulting national flag during his visit to the city in December last.

Advocate Swamy approached the L.B. Nagar court seeking its intervention to book a case against the MP for insulting national flag.

The court directed the Pahadisherif police to book a case against the MP under Prevention of Insult to National Honour Act.
