WhatsApp Updates On Privacy Policy Row:- There have been speculations that the private messages across the messaging platform WhatsApp are leaked which created a panic across the users. The Facebook-owned messaging application issued a clarification that they have changed the revised policy and it does not affect the privacy of the messages that are shared by the users between their friends and family members. The messaging application also issued a clarification that the update includes changes that are related to messaging a business on the platform. Here are some other updates: WhatsApp cannot see any of the private messages of the users and neither can Facebook. It does not keep the logs of the calls on the platform. WhatsApp cannot have an access of the shared location and the groups will remain private. WhatsApp also announced that the messages can be disappeared. The users can also download their date on WhatsApp. "We don't share this data with Facebook for ads. Again, these private chats are end-to-end encrypted so we can't see their content" shared WhatsApp in the Security and Privacy section on the official website. WhatsApp suggested the users to change their message settings to disappear from the chats after sending them and this can be done through the additional privacy feature. This is the second time WhatsApp issued a clarification to put an end to all the speculations. WhatsApp has over 400 million users in India alone.

Record Deal For F3 Digital Rights:- Talented director Anil Ravipudi is racing to the top with back to back hits in his career. The sequel for his super hit comic entertainer F2 is on cards from some time. The film is titled F3 and it features Venkatesh, Varun Tej, Tamannaah and Mehreen reprising their roles from the original. The shoot of the film kick-started recently and is happening at a fast pace without breaks. Right from Venkatesh to Anil Ravipudi, everyone hiked their remuneration for the movie. F3 is made on a budget close to Rs 70 crores and the makers are closing the non-theatrical deals of the film. Amazon Prime holds the digital rights of F2 and they now acquired the digital rights of F3 for a record price which is not disclosed. Though the film may not have a release in multiple languages, the digital rights are sold for all the languages. Boman Irani and Sunil will be seen in other crucial roles in F3 that is produced by Dil Raju's Sri Venkateswara Creations. The film is aimed for Dasara 2021 release.

Supreme Court Implements a Stay on the Three Farm Laws:- The Indian farmers are protesting indefinitely against the newly introduced three farm laws that are passed in the Parliament last year. The protests of the farmers crossed 40 days at the borders of the national capital New Delhi. Seven rounds of talks took place between the Centre and the Farmer Unions but a possible resolution was never found. The farmers warned of intensifying the protests in the coming weeks. A series of petitions are filed in the Supreme Court and the top court responded about the issue. The Supreme Court today stayed the implementation of the three farm laws after considering the protests of the farmers. The top court asked the Centre to stay the laws until further orders which turned out to be a huge jolt for the Indian government. The Supreme Court announced a committee to review the farm laws asking them to submit a detailed report. A three-judge bench headed by Chief Justice Bobde heard the case. The Supreme Court even issued notices to the Delhi police who are keen to stop the announced tractor rally by the farmers on January 26th. The Supreme Court also said that they have given enough time for the Centre to file an amicable solution for the agitation of the farmers. The Centre received notices from the Supreme Court on October 12th after a series of petitions are filed in the top court challenging the constitutional validity. Farmers’ Produce Trade and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Act, 2020, The Farmers (Empowerment and Protection) Agreement of Price Assurance and Farm Services Act, 2020 and The Essential Commodities (Amendment) Act, 2020 are the three Farm Laws approved by the Centre.

KTR Launches Free Drinking Water Scheme In Hyderabad:- Telangana government and Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao promised of free drinking water of 20,000 litres per family for the people of the state before the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) polls. KCR said that the scheme would be implemented in stages and will start from December last year. Telangana Minister for Municipal Administration and Urban Development, IT and Commerce, Industries, KTR launched the free drinking water scheme in Greater Hyderabad today. The scheme will now be applicable for all the colonies, regions, bastis and the apartments across the limits of GHMC. A total number of 12,584 new cases are reported in the country in the last 24 hours and 18,385 people got discharged in the past one day in India. 164 people passed away in the past 24 hours and the total death toll in the country reached 1,51,327. The total number of coronavirus cases in India reached 1,04,79,179 and there are 2,16,558 active cases of coronavirus in India. The total number of recoveries in India are said to be 1,01,11,294 till date as per the reports from the Union Health Ministry. The total number of samples tested in India after the emergence of coronavirus in the country are said to be 18,26,52,887 as per the records from the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR). The Indian government approved two coronavirus vaccines Covishield and Covaxin and the mass distribution for the vaccine starts on a priority basis from January 16th. Telangana reported 301 new cases of coronavirus in India along with two deaths. The flights carrying Covishield consignments departed from Pune airport this morning and reached New Delhi, Guwahati, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Bhubaneswar, Bengaluru, Patna and Vijayawada along with other cities.

Bhuma Akhila Priya Bail Plea Rejected, Granted Custody:- TDP leader and ex-minister Bhuma Akhila Priya has been facing allegations of kidnapping a hockey player Praveen Rao and his family members in Telangana recently. Bhuma Akhila Priya has been named as the prime accused and her husband Bhargav Ram is absconding. The search operation is staged for Bhargav Ram but the cops are unable to trace his whereabouts. For the second time, Bhuma Akhila Priya's bail petition got rejected by a Secunderabad court after the court verified all the medical reports of Bhuma Akhila Priya. The Hyderabad cops requested for a judicial custody for a week. The court granted judicial custody of Bhuma Akhila Priya for three days from today. Eight others are booked on January 6th in relation with the kidnapping case in regards to a land settlement in Hafeezpet, Hyderabad. The lawyer of Bhuma Akhila Priya argued that she was pregnant and she was taken into custody for political reasons. The court heard the arguments of both the lawyers after which her bail petition was denied. Bhuma Akhila Priya was shifted to a hospital for better treatment. On the evening of January 5th, Praveen Rao, Sunil Rao and Naveen Rao are kidnapped by a bunch of goons who posed themselves as Income Tax officials. The kidnappers left the hostages at 3:30 AM at Kokapet. There was a 25-acre land dispute in Hafeezpet after which the kidnaps took place. The land was bought by Praveen Rao in 2016 from the accused number two, AV Subba Reddy. With the land prices reaching the skies, Bhuma Akhila Priya and her husband Bhargav Ram claimed ownership. There are talks that the victims were made to sign the documents before they are released by the kidnappers.
