Cyclone Neelam panics NRIs

NRIs who hail from Tamil Nadu and Coastal parts of Andhra Pradesh are reportedly getting tense in the wake of Cyclone Neelam. The sources have said that NRIs have already started enquiring about the cyclone updates and keeping an eagle eye on the updates related to Neelam Cyclone. On the other hand, people in India who have their relatives in the United States are worried about hurricane Sandy. Neelam Cyclone and Sandy hurricane seems to have come hand in hand triggering tensions among people in India and outside India who are of Indian origin.

Cyclone Neelam, which was traveling towards Nagapattinam in Tamil Nadu, suddenly changed its direction and started traveling towards Kadalur. By 12 pm on Wednesday, Neelam Cyclone was 270 kilometres off Chennai coast. The meteorological department officials have said that they could exactly tell as to where cyclone would be a landfall only after it reaches 200 kilometres off Chennai coast. Already, many parts in coastal Andhra and even in Chennai, heavy rains are being witnessed.

Andhra Wishesh is committed to provide minute by minute updates on Neelam Cyclone. Stay tuned to this site. We would update the section soon.
