NRI sisters killed

In an unfortunate incident, two women died in a fatal road mishap when the car on which they were aboard rammed into a parked highway patrol car. This SUV was driven by Arvind Tandel and on the car were the two unfortunate women (his daughters who died), his wife and also other two daughters. Although two girls managed to survive, Arvind and his wife were battling with life at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center.

Twenty-four-year old Nisha Tandel and her 20-year-old Sheetal sisters never knew that their father's reckless driving would end their lives abruptly. Otherwise, they wouldn't have gone out for shopping in the wake of Nisha's wedding this January in India. As Nisha and  Sheetal were thrown out of their SUV, former died on the spot while the latter succumbed to injuries in the hospital.

The accident took place on Highway 101 in Palo Alto and the cop who parked the vehicle said he clearly kept the sign board that the vehicle was parked and was unable to ascertain as to what made Arvind Tandel to dashed the patrol car. It was evident with the reports that the family was not under the influence of alcohol. Therefore, police suspected that accident probably occurred due to Arvind's short nap while driving.

The eye witnesses told the media that the vehicle, after it dashed the patrol car, flipped several times and came to a rest on its wheels. But by then the two sisters were out on road-one dead and one grievously injured. It's unfortunate to note that a woman, who was all set to enter wedlock soon, left the world abruptly. May the sisters' souls rest in peace.
