Recently, in a survey done on 10 - 12 years age group of kids in Netherlands, the authorities have observed those kids who are able to sleep not for more than 7 hours are gaining weight irrespective of healthy food and exercise when compared to those who are at least managing to get a 9 to 10 hours sleep.
The reason being, the kids of 10 - 12 years age group, have got a lot to study, indulge in extracurricular activities and exercising such as jogging and cycling, playing games and what not... as a result kids will be tired by the end of the day... with no time to get a proper sleep and rest, their body system goes upside down and as a result, their structure grows more than regular...
So, it is not just busy daily routine and career, your kid getting a good percentage in academics, but for them taking a proper rest and staying away from unwanted weight gain is also important... hence, a good night sleep is required for your kid...
