As per the World Health Organisation latest reports, 1,350 have died so far with Ebola virus in the African continent. Out of which, 576 have died in Liberia while toll in Guinea and Sierra Leone stands at 396 and 374 respectively.
However, Ebola cases were reported at 2,473 with Liberia [972] and Sierra Leone [907] accounting for the most cases. Thanks to the awareness campaign in Guinea as the Ebola cases are recorded less in number and stand at 579 whereas the situation in Nigeria is stable and so far only 15 cases were reported. The WHO and World Food Programme have launched an operation to supply food to the three countries.
Meanwhile WHO officials will visit Liberia clinics today and check the health measurements taken to contain Ebola virus. Last week, United Nations has sanctioned USD 200 Million to contain this virus in the West African nations.
