Varalakshmi Vratham: Importance Of Traditional Ritual:- Most of the married Indian women observe Varalakshmi Vratham in heir house on the auspicious Friday. A special procedure is followed by the women. It falls on the Shravana Paksha Friday which is usually the second Friday of July or August month. Varalakshmi Vratham is followed in a traditional pooja process. Lord Shiva and Parvathi along with Goddess Lakshmi will be worshipped.  Have a look at the pooja process for this traditional festival of Varalakshmi Vratham:

Goddess Parvathi asked Lord Shiva to help her with a pooja to make the people relieved from sorrows and mangalya balam. Then Lord Shiva told about Varalakshmi Vratham saying that all those who observe this will get relieved with health problems and financial issues and they would stay happy. Varalakshmi Vratham is now observed on the second Friday of Sravana Masam.
