It’s a Black Thursday for Team India

Defending Champions India lost Semifinals to Australia in ICC World Cup 2015 and return home with empty hands. Australia won the match with 95 runs in the big game and reserved its berth in the finals against New Zealand on Sunday.

Australia won the toss and elected to bat first. The team managed to stabilize even though it lost its opener David Warner cheaply. Steven Smith with the help of Aaron Finch took the score to 200. Australia maintained the ease throughout the innings despite of losing the wickets. Australia scored 328 runs by the end of its innings for the loss of seven wickets.

Responding to the mammoth target, India started its innings steadily. Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan kept rotating their strikes. However, India loses its first wicket in 13th over in the form of Shikhar Dhawan. Dhawan scored 45 runs. By that time the score was 76 runs.

Kohli came and returned for 1. He brought the ‘I need you in 5 minutes ad’ to the mind. After Kohli’s dismissal Rohit Sharma tried to cement the innings with Rahane. But Johnson bowled Rohit Sharma in 18th over. Rohit returned to pavilion at 34. By that time the score was 91/3. Thereafter Indian batting lineup collapsed with an amazing regularity. Only Dhoni and Rahane gave some fight to steer the innings.
Dhoni made 65 runs, the only half-century from the Indian side. Rahane got out for 44.

On the other side Australian bowlers bowled with perfect line and length. James Faulkner took 3 wickets, while Mitchell Starc and Johnson shared two wickets each.
