The Kerala cricket Association (KCA) has announced to name one of its stadiums after Sachin Tendulkar, the pride of the country.

On Friday, KCA president T.C. Mathew said, “A pavilion was named after Sachin in the past and now, KCA has decided to name the entire stadium after Sachin.

“We have not decided which one because we have the newly opened cricket stadium in Wayanad and we have other stadiums also that are fast nearing completion. The decision will be taken shortly. He (Sachin) will also be consulted," Mathew further said.

KCA built a new stadium in Wayanad recently. It hosted the two four-day matches between South Africa A and India A. The stadium appears very scenic, especially there are mountains on all the three sides of the stadium. 

State of the art cricket ground in 14 districts of Kerala soon

Kerala Cricket Association is further planning to set up the state of the art cricket grounds in all the 14 districts of Kerala. Regarding this, the KCA is planning to join hands soon with Tendulkar.  

"What we are planning is a multi-sports facility centre attached to each of our upcoming cricket grounds. We are interested in providing facilities for our new generation in other sports also. We wish to speak to Tendulkar if he will be willing to partner us in this project," Mathew added.
 
In the past Sachin had an experience of being the goodwill ambassador of the 2015 National Games. He even led the ‘Run Kerala Run’, an event which is to promote the national games.

Sachin is even one of the partners of Indian Super League (ISL) team Kerala Blasters and is arriving this Saturday, to take part in a function. There is even a buzz saying thatm he is going to buy a house in Kerala. However, the official confirmation regarding this is yet to be known.
