South African opener Hashim Amla replaces Australian left-hander Shaun Marsh for the Kings XI Punjab in the 9th edition of the tournament, due to the latter’s back injury.
On April 19th held game against Kolkata Knight Riders, Marsh has developed an injury and since then, he has been carrying a niggle.
Earlier, this year, none of the franchise owners were interested in buying Amla, who was finally went unsold with a base price of INR 1 crore.
On the other side, in IPL 2016, Marsh had a decent season, where he scored a half century and also two-40 plus scores in 6 matches.
Even being named as one of the best batsmen in the world cricket, Amla, so far has not played a single match in the IPL.
