Indian star cricket player, Ashish Nehra successfully underwent a right-knee surgery in a hospital in London.
Speaking from London, Dr. Andrew Williams said, "We performed surgery on Ashish Nehra on Tuesday and he is doing fine."
It is known that, during the IPL, earlier this month, Nehra, while playing for Sunrisers Hyderabad, had developed a high grade tendon injury and it was later, the Team India physio, Patrik Farhat, had asked him to visit the doctor.
“The operation took place at Fortus Clinic and he was very co-operative during the one-hour long procedure,” the doctor added.
During ICC World T20, Nehra took 5 wickets in 5 games at an economy rate of 5.94 runs per over, and thus earned the tag of India’s best bowler.

On Wednesday, Nehra was discharged from the hospital, but will be re-examined after a few days.
“It will take at least three-four months to fully recover and of course, he will be able to play the game. He is a great bowler. He will return to India and will be under physiotherapy,” Dr. Williams added.
Responding to Nehra’s case, BCCI said, “Nehra was advised to consult Dr Andrew Williams, an orthopaedic specialist in London, and the surgery took place on Tuesday night.”
