BCCI's New Boss Sourav Ganguly to Take Oath on October 23rd:- Two decades after leading Team India, Indian ex-skipper and star batsman Sourav Ganguly took oath as the new President of BCCI. The 47-year-old Saurav Ganguly has been elected unanimously for the position. Speaking on the occasion, Sourav Ganguly said that first-class cricket remains his first priority. There are strong speculations that Sourav Ganguly will soon join BJP and will be named as the Chief Ministerial candidate for West Bengal. Brijesh Patel is named as the Chairman of the Indian Premiere League (IPL).

Union Minister Amit Shah's son Jay Shah is named as the new Secretary and Arun Dhumal turns the new treasurer. Supreme-Court appointed Committee of Administrators (CoA) chief Vinod Rai has said that Sourav Ganguly taking charge as BCCI President is a good sign as he has ample experience in the sport. Ganguly also has ample experience in halding Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB). Sourav Ganguly will be able to serve as BCCI President only till September 2020. With Saurav winning up unanimously, the election which is planned to be held on October 23rd has been cancelled.
