ODI Series: It's a Clean Sweep for NZ Against India:- After two back to back victories in the first two one-day internationals and sealing the series, New Zealand took perfect revenge against India after they registered a comfortable victory in the third and final ODI today. New Zealand won the toss and asked India to bat first. Team India managed to get 296 for the loss of seven wickets in their 50 overs. KL Rahul's 112 along with Shreyas Iyer's 62 and Manish Pandey's 42 managed to get a decent total for India on board. Hamish Bennett (4/64), James Neesham (1/50) and Kyle Jamieson (1/53) have been decent with the ball.
Chasing 297, New Zealand was completely comfortable and they never struggled. They completed the target in 47.1 overs by losing five wickets. Henry Nicholls (80), Martin Guptill (66) and Colin de Grandhmomme (58 not out) are the top scorers for New Zealand side. Yuzvendra Chahal (3/47), Ravindra Jadeja (1/45) have been decent among the Indian bowlers. India face their first ODI series whitewash after 1989 in International cricket. Ross Taylor has been named as the Player of the Series while Henry Nicholls is the Player of the Match. India and New Zealand will play three tests and the first test starts on February 21st.
