New Zealand Sweeps the Test Series Against India:- After a remarkable victory in the first test, New Zealand managed to continue its dominance in the second and final test which ended today. Team India failed to stand before the pace of New Zealand bowlers and ended up losing the series. The second test completed in just three days and New Zealand registered seven-wicket victory against India. New Zealand won the toss and decided to bowl. India managed to get a decent total of 242 in the first innings. Hanuma Vihari (55) and Prithvi Shaw (54) are the top scorers for the side. Kyle Jamieson (5/45) and Tim Southee (2/38) have been successful with the ball.
New Zealand was restricted to 235 in their first innings. Tom Latham (52) and Kyle Jamieson (49) have been decent. Mohammed Shami (4/81) and Jasprit Bumrah (3/62) managed to get the wickets. Team India tumbled down badly in their second innings for 124. Chesteshwar Pujara (24) and Ravindra Jadeja (16 not out) are the top scorers for the Indian side. Trent Boult (4/28) and Tim Southee (3/36) got most of the wickets. New Zealand chased the target of 132 by losing three wickets and ended up winning the second test. Kyle Jamieson has been named as the Player of the Match while Tim Southee bagged the Player of the Series award.
