IPL 2020: Visa Restrictions For Foreign Players

IPL 2020: Visa Restrictions For Foreign Players:- With the coronavirus scare, there are several ongoing speculations about IPL 2020 which is scheduled to start next month. No foreign player will be available to play this IPL before April 15th because of the imposed visa restrictions for the foreign countries by India after the coronavirus outbreak. A source from BCCI told that the discussions are going on about this. There are also strong speculations that a closed-door IPL seems to be a topic that is discussed.

IPL 2020 is planned to start from March 29th in Mumbai and the foreign players will be unavailable till April 15th. A high profile meeting is chaired on March 14th and the fate of IPL 2020 will be decided on that day. The Governing Council will meet in Mumbai to discuss about various possibilities. The Government of India issued a ban on all the foreign visas to all the countries till April 15th with the number of coronavirus cases taking a toll in the country.

If the number of cases comes to control in India, IPL 2020 will happen as per the plan and BCCI may request the Indian government to allow the visas for foreign players considering the schedules.
