BCCI In Plans To Cancel IPL 2020:- The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) already pushed the schedules of IPL 2020 in the wake of spread of coronavirus. IPL 2020 which was scheduled to start from March 29th is pushed to April 15th. The BCCI was in plans to conduct a conference call with the owners of all the IPL franchises but the meeting was cancelled due to the coronavirus row. A strong speculations is making rounds that IPL 2020 is now put on hold after the number of cases are going increasing everyday in the country.
Though there were plans initially to shift the venues to a country abroad, the whole world is now suffering with coronavirus after which BCCI is in plans to cancel IPL for this year. BCCI felt that there is no point of discussion to conduct a meeting with the franchise owners as the situations are not under control. Some of the franchise owners recently suggested BCCI to keep the tournament on hold for this year. Even the people are not in a mood to watch IPL due to the coronavirus scare and it may take months to turn normal.
