KL Rahul Becomes Fastest Indian To Score 2000 IPL Runs:- Indian star batsman and Kings XI Punjab's skipper KL Rahul became the fastest Indian to complete 2000 runs in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Indian veteran cricketer Sachin Tendulkar holds the record and he crossed 2000 run mark in 63 innings while KL Rahul made it in 60 innings. West Indies star batsman Chris Gayle is leading the list of 2000 runs chart in just 48 innings in IPL. Kings XI Punjab fought with Royal Challengers Bengaluru last evening in their second game in the Dubai International Stadium. KL Rahul scored 132 runs of just 69 balls and this is the highest IPL score for any Indian batsman till date. KL Rahul's strong knock made their team reach 206 for the loss of 3 wickets.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru failed to stand before the pace of Punjab bowlers and the team tumbled down for 109 runs in 17 overs. KL Rahul completed his 50 in just 36 balls and completed his century in 26 more balls. Mayank Agarwal (26) was the other top scorer for Punjab. Shivam Dube (2/33), Yuzvendra Chahal (1/25) have been decent among the bowlers for RCB. In chasing the huge total, RCB top order fell flat. Washington Sundar (30), AB de Villiers (28) and Aaron Finch (20) are the only batsmen who could get decent numbers. Murugan Ashwin (3/21), Ravi Bishnoi (3/32) and Sheldon Cottrell (2/17) impressed with the ball. KL Rahul has been named as the Player of the Match for his unbeatable knock of 132 not out.
