Chris Gayle loses cool after dismissal on 99: Fined High:- West Indies hitter Chris Gayle is one of the key players for Kings XI Punjab in IPL. Chris Gayle registered a new record of hitting 1000 sixes and he is the first-ever batsmen to achieve this. He was benched for seven matches in the tournament and he scored an exceptional 99 in the last match with Rajasthan Royals. He was dismissed by Jofra Archer in the final over the innings when he was at 99. Chris Gayle swung his bat in frustration and the bat fell metres away. Archer along with the Rajasthan players realized that it was a slip-up and was not an intentional move from Chris Gayle.
Chris Gayle had to take a fine of 10 per cent in his match fees by Indian Premier League (IPL) after the match. He was admitted to Level 1 offence and he accepted the sanction after the match. "Mr Gayle admitted to the Level 1 offence 2.2 of the IPL’s Code of Conduct and accepted the sanction. For Level 1 breaches of the Code of Conduct, the Match Referee’s decision is final and binding", an official statement of IPL said. The video went viral across the social media. Chris Gayle scored 99 in 63 balls with six fours and eight sixes. Chris Gayle added 276 runs to his name in 6 matches with a strike rate of 144.50.
