Virat Kohli Scripts History: Smashes Sachin's Record:- Indian star skipper Virat Kohli is unstoppable with the bat. He created a history in the third one-day international with Australia at the Manuka Oval, Canberra. He is the fastest-ever batsman to cross 12,000 runs and he broke the record of Sachin Tendulkar which is 58 innings quicker. Virat Kohli crossed 12,000 run mark in 242 innings while Sachin Tendulkar achieved it in 300 innings. Virat Kohli is the sixth cricketer to achieve 12,000 run mark after star cricketers Sachin Tendulkar, Ricky Ponting, Kumar Sangakkara, Sanath Jayasuriya and Mahela Jayawardene.

Virat has 43 one-day hundreds and he is 9 away to reach Sachin Tendulkar's record of 51 centuries in one-days. Sachin Tendulkar has been holding the record of scoring 12,000 runs in 300 innings for the past 17 years. Ricky Ponting made this possible in 314 innings, Kumar Sangakkara in 336 innings and Sanath Jayasuriya in 379 innings. Virat's fans are super delighted about the achievement and the veteran cricketers showered the cricketer with compliments.
