First Test: A Disastrous Performance by Indian Batsmen keeps them at a Spot:- The first test match of the Gavaskar-Border trophy completed on the third day in the second session after the Indian batting order tumbled down for 36 runs in the second innings. India won the toss and elected to bat first. Team India got a respectable total of 244 runs in their first innings and they restricted Australia to 191. India got a slight lead of 53 runs in their first innings. With three days left, it was sure that the result will be out for the first test.
In a shocking move, Team India tumbled down for 36 runs in their second innings. Australia had to score 90 runs to win the test match and they chased it by losing two wickets.
