Jasprit Bumrah (2/66), Navdeep Saini (2/65) and Ravindra Jadeja (4/62) took the wickets of the Australian batsmen.

Rohit Sharma returned back to the team and opened the batting order of India along with Shubman Gill. India lost two wickets for 96 runs by the end of the second day's stumps. Rohit Sharma departed for 26 and Shubman went out for 50. Cheteshwar Pujara and Ajinkya Rahane are in the crease. Josh Hazlewood and Pat Cummins took one wicket each among the Australian bowlers.
