BCCI announces the Indian Squad for the Test Series with England:- Team India created a history and bagged the test series against Australia in the Border-Gavaskar trophy. Team India also reached the top slot in the ICC test rankings. India will soon tour in England and the 18-member squad for the first two tests against England is announced by the BCCI. Indian skipper Virat Kohli who is on a paternity break will return back to the team. The new selection panel led by Chetan Sharma announced the squad through a virtual meeting. Several Indian players were out of the Australian series due to injuries. Ishant Sharma is returning back to the team with full fitness.
Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj and Shardul Thakur will retain their places for the side. T Natarajan will miss the Indian tour of England. Ravichandran Ashwin too will return back to the test squad. Rohit Sharma Ajinkya Rahane and others who played the last test with Australia have been named in the two test series with England.
