India thrashes England in the Third Test in just two days:- For the first time in the history of test cricket, the match came to an end by the third session of the second day. India is playing with England in the third test in Sardar Patel Stadium, Ahmedabad. England won the toss and elected to bat first. England tumbled down for 112 in their first innings. Zak Crawley (53) and Joe Root (17) are the top scorers for the side. Axar Patel (6/38) was the major reason for England's downfall. Ravichandran Ashwin (3/26) was well supportive. Indian batsmen too struggled to stand before the pace of English bowlers and went all out for 145. Rohit Sharma (66) and Virat Kohli (27) are the top scorers for the Indian side.
Joe Root (5/8) and Jack Leach (4/54) were in top form among the England bowlers. England took up their second innings and went all out for just 81and India chased the target of 49 without losing a wicket. Rohit Sharma (15 not out) and Shubman Gill (15 not out) completed the target soon. Axar Patel was named as the Player of the Match for his outstanding performance (6/38 and 5/32) in both the innings. The third test completed in just two days and India is leading the series by 2-1. The final test match will take place from March 4th in Ahmedabad.
