IPL 2021: 14 members from broadcasting team tested positive for Coronavirus:- The officials of BCCI are making all the arrangements for IPL 2021 which is just days away. All the players are currently busy with the practise sessions. The first match of IPL 2021 starts on April 9th between Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bengaluru. As per the update coming, 14 members from the broadcast bio-bubble are tested positive for coronavirus. 14 personnel who are residing in Four Seasons Hotel are tested positive and the entire Star Sports World Feed crew is residing in the hotel. This includes the EVS operators, producers, directors, video editors and cameraman from the team. All these team members are involved in providing slow and ultra-motion replays. Star Sports is concerned about the crew members and all the necessary actions are taken currently.
A source from BCCI told that the IPL 2021 will happen as per the plan and will not have any delays. Devdutt Padikkal from the team Royal Challengers Bengaluru is tested positive for coronavirus couple of days ago. Axar Patel from Delhi Capitals are tested positive for coroanvirus earlier and is currently in quarantine. BCCI President Sourav Ganguly issued a statement that IPL for the year will happen as per the plan. The matches will continue to happen without crowds and there are rumors that the matches from Mumbai will be shifted to Hyderabad or some other venue. BCCI will take the final call about this very soon.
