India seals ODI series against Sri Lanka after the second victory:- Team India is touring in Sri Lanka and India trashed the team with a record victory chase in the first one-day international. The second match took place yesterday and India completed a comfortable chase and reported their second victory in a row to seal the series. Sri Lanka won the toss and it elected to bat first. The host reported 275 for the loss of nine wickets in their 50 overs. Charith Asalanka (65), Avishka Fernando (50) and Chamika Karunaratne (44 not out) are the top scorers for the side. Yuzvendra Chahal (3/50), Bhuvneshwar Kumar (3/54) and Deepak Chahar (2/53) managed to bag the wickets among the Indian bowlers.
India completed the chase comfortable and scored 277 for the loss of 7 wickets with 5 balls left. Deepak Chahar (69 not out) was the top scorer for the side and Suryakumar Yadav (53), Manish Pandey (37) were the other top scorers among the Indian batsmen. Wanindu Hasaranga (3/37), Dasun Shanaka (1/10) and Kasun Rajitha (1/53) managed to get the wickets for Sri Lanka. Deepak Chahar is named as the Player of the match. The last and final one day will take place on Friday. India will also play 3 T20s with Sri Lanka in this tour and the first match will commence on Sunday.
